How is this different from a LUT pack?+
A LUT is one fixed look. It can't change, no matter what you shot or what time of day you shot it. If it looks wrong, you're stuck. This is the node tree that builds the look, with every step open so you can adjust it. One is a photo of a meal. The other is the recipe and the kitchen.
Isn't this just another pack that won't work on my footage?+
That's the right thing to be suspicious of — the usual complaint about bought looks is that they go on and the shot still reads wrong, so you start pushing sliders and make it worse. The reason is almost always that a LUT is applied on top of unbalanced footage. This tree balances first: exposure and white balance sit ahead of the look, so the creative stage receives a neutral image instead of guessing at one. And if it still doesn't work on your footage, the refund is real.
Do I need the paid version of DaVinci Resolve?+
No — but I am not going to pretend the Studio tools do not exist. The full tree uses ResolveFX halation, glow and prism blur, Film Look Creator for the grain, and one Magic Mask node. So the download has a second .drx built for the free version: the halation is built inside the tree rather than called in as a plugin, the grain runs through Fusion, which the free version has, and the Magic Mask node is gone with a tracked Power Window doing its work. Everything else — the colour space transforms, the balance, the curves, the saturation shaping, the windows — is identical between the two files. You are not getting a cut-down grade because you did not buy Studio.
Will it work on my camera?+
The footage on this page was shot on an iPhone 17 Pro, and it works with any iPhone or camera. Choose your camera in the first node and the rest of the tree behaves exactly the same, whether the footage came from an iPhone in Apple Log, an FX3 in S-Log3, or a Blackmagic in BRAW.
I've never used the colour page. Is this too advanced?+
Drop it on a clip, pick a look, adjust exposure. That's the whole first session. The labeling is there for when you get curious — most people start editing the tree in week two without deciding to.
Can I use it on paid client work?+
That is the commercial licence, a $9.99 add-on at checkout. Tick it and you can use the grade on client work, ads and anything else you are paid for, unlimited, with no attribution. Without it the files are yours for your own projects — your channel, your portfolio, your reel. Either way, what you can never do is resell or redistribute the files themselves.
How do I get it after paying?+
Instantly. Checkout hands you the download and emails you a permanent link. No waiting, no manual delivery.
What if it doesn't work on my footage?+
The PowerGrade comes with in-depth training on how to use every node in it. If you go through it and still struggle with your footage, email me within 14 days and I'll break down your specific case, or refund you fully if it still doesn't work. You keep the files either way.
